Annual Report







Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the students, staff and myself, I extend my heartiest welcome to the honourable Chief Guest ShriAvinash Chandra, Unit Head, ITI Limited,  Mankapur and Chairman, VMC as well as Madam Ranjana Chandra, President Ladies’ Club, ITI Mankapur. I also extend welcome to Sh S. K. Sapra, DGM, our Nominee Chairman & madam Sapra, VMC, honourable members of VMC and PTA, Sh K. P. Yadav, Principal, KV Gonda, Sh Suresh Chandra, Principal, JNV Mankapur, Sh A. K. Asthana, Principal DAV School and all other dignitaries and dear parents. It is a matter of great pride and privilege to have all of you here this evening sparing your most   valuable and precious time in spite of all multifarious activities and pressing engagements. This is certainly an expression of your profound affection for vidyalaya.


Hon’ble Sir, this Vidyalaya is one of the Vidyalayas spread all over India and abroad. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of HRD. The principal objective of the formation of the Kendriya Vidyalaya was to cater to the educational needs of the children of the transferable Central Government employees particularly Defence Personnel.


I feel honoured in presenting the Annual Report of the vidyalaya for the session 2012-2013. This Vidyalaya was established in the year 1987 up to class VIII. Nestled in a peaceful and eco-friendly environment for a child’s upbringing, conforming to a national standard of education, the vidyalaya has been imparting quality education for inculcating among the children- moral values, patriotism, scientific vision and discipline of head and heart. Now it is functioning up to Class XII with Science and Commerce streams. The total sanctioned staff strength is 45. We have hired the services of 07   (seven) Teachers on Part Time contractual basis. I can say proudly that I have got a team of fully dedicated and devoted workers who are determined to bring qualitative change in Scholastic, as well as Co-Scholastic and Co- Curricular activities.




Total strength of the students in the Vidyalaya at present is 865.To ensure balanced and all round development of each student, co-curricular activities are organized at inter-house level. Students have been divided into four houses, namely Shivaji, Tagore, Ashoka and Raman.



We have well equipped and well-maintained computer labs having 62 computers with internet connectivity. We have two computer teachers; one permanent Post Graduate Teacher in Computer Science and an another computer instructor on contractual basis.



Under the able guidance of our experienced Work Experience Teacher and an Expert for Art & Craft, students have imbibed themselves with aesthetic and creative skills.



The Vidyalaya has a rich library with 07 National Newspapers, 40 Periodicals and 11000 Books on different subjects and topics to enrich the knowledge of students.




Our Scout & Guide department has been working effectively to make the youngsters aware of their duties and responsibilities and to channelize their energy and to direct their delirium prominently in a constructive way. Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp was held at KV RDSO, Lucknow from 26th to 29th September, 2012, in which our 10 Scouts and 05 Guides attended the test and were declared successful.




I would like to refer to our Board Examination result 2011-2012. In the Secondary School Examination i.e. (class X), 77 students appeared and the pass %age was 90.9%. In the Senior Secondary School Examination (class XII) 59 students appeared and the pass %age was 88.14%. I congratulate to the students and the Staff for their success.





Cluster level Social Science Exhibition was held at KV, GomtiNagar from 22/10/2012 to 23/10/2012 where the projects prepared by our students were appreciated and all 32 projects were selected for Regional Level Social Science Exhibition.




Regional Level Science Exhibition was held at KV, Armapur No. 2, Kanpur from 31/10/2012 to 02/11/2012. 05 students participated in it. Jawaharlal Nehru Regional Science Exhibition was held at KV, JLA, Bareilly, in which 04 students participated from our Vidyalaya.




40 students from our Vidyalaya participated in different games like volleyball boys’, handball boys’ & girls’ and kabaddi boys’ held at regional level at different Kendriya Vidyalayas in Lucknow Region. Out of these students 07 students were selected for National Level in handball, kabaddi, and volleyball. One boy Master Khwaja Khalid of class X was selected for the SGFI in Handball. I congratulate to all the students for their excellent performance and bringing laurels for the Vidyalaya.




It is true that destiny of a country is shaped in its class rooms. With God’s grace, I have a mission to make this Vidyalaya one of the prestigious institutions in the country. I assure you all that we will not leave a single stone unturned in achieving the goals and objectives we have set forth. I appreciate everyone’s cooperation in this regard and expect that you will continue the showering of your blessings to the Vidyalaya. I once again express my gratitude to the hon’ble Chief Guest Sh Avinash Chandra, the AGM for accepting our request to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. I also express my sincere thanks to Madam Ranjana Chandra and VMC members for their kind co-operation. I also express my thanks to all the dignitaries, parents of the students and all other guests who spared their valuable time to be with us on this occasion.
